Jin Jiang International Hotel Management Co., Shanghai, announced that its outgoing CEO Bernold Schroeder will be replaced by Simon Zhang, the former CEO of Shanghai Jin Jiang International Hotels Development Co. effective January 2, 2014.
Schroeder departure to become CEO of Pan Pacific Hotels Group, Singapore, was announced earlier this week.
Zhang has over 20 years of experience in hotel management and F&B operations. “I am very honored to be appointed this role and I will try my best to continue driving the strategic direction of the company and to further enhance the company’s operational efficiency and brand awareness,” Zhang said.
Yang Weimin, vice chairman and CEO of Shanghai Jin Jiang International Hotels (Group) Co., said “Under Bernold’s leadership he successfully brought the company forward through a time of unparalleled positive change. He is a devoted hotelier who channeled his passion into building a strong business platform and significantly strengthening the domestic operations of the company.
