YOTEL Washington DC announces new GM

YOTEL has appointed James Thomas as general manager of YOTEL Washington DC.

With more than 26 years of hospitality leadership experience, Thomas arrives at YOTEL Washington DC with a track record of leading lifestyle, boutique and full-service properties across the Washington, DC and Maryland markets. He joins the hotel as it prepares to integrate into Hilton’s systems as part of YOTEL’s exclusive agreement with Hilton. The integration aims to expand the property’s global reach through Hilton’s commercial platforms while enabling guests to earn and redeem Hilton Honors Points and preserving YOTEL’s brand, design and hospitality experience.

“What excites me most about joining YOTEL Washington DC is the opportunity to create memorable experiences for every guest who walks through our doors,” said Thomas. “YOTEL’s fresh approach to hospitality, combined with the energy of Washington DC, creates an incredible opportunity to deliver stays that are seamless and inspiring. It’s an exciting time to join as the hotel enters into Hilton’s systems, opening up new opportunities for us to welcome new travelers, including Hilton Honors members, from around the world. I look forward to being part of this next chapter, working alongside the talented team to continue elevating the guest experience and make the most of the opportunities ahead.”

Most recently, Thomas served as general manager of the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel. Previously, he held senior leadership roles at several properties throughout the region, including Motto by Hilton Washington DC Downtown, Washington Marriott Capitol Hill, Hampton Inn & Suites Washington DC – Navy Yard, and The Westin Washington National Harbor.
