The Marriott Pittsburgh Renaissance Hotel has completed an interior renovation.
D-ash Design redid the hotel’s lobby, bar, ballrooms, meeting rooms, corridors and 291 guest accommodations.
The hotel is housed in the Fulton Building, a national historic landmark built in 1906.
The renovation kept the lobby’s original details, marble walls and grand staircase, adding a high-tech lighting system over the lobby’s glass dome. The lighting changes the ambience of the lobby throughout the day.
The hotel’s bar, Braddock’s Street Side, is a tribute to the 1791 Whiskey Rebellion that took place nearby. The new design features a plush leather seating nook, zinc countertops, and a bar lit to highlight the whiskey selection.
Guestroom and suite renovations included new carpets, wall coverings, draperies, lounge chairs, desk chairs and lighting.
The concierge lounge was updated with new furniture, lighting, shelving, wood flooring, carpeting, and draperies. Meeting rooms and pre-function areas have new lighting, carpets, and wall coverings; pre-function areas also have new furniture.
