What’s Hot: Kimpton’s South Beach premiere

The Surfcomber Miami, South Beach has officially opened under the Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants brand following an extensive renovation of the hotel’s two towers and public spaces.

The 186-key hotel sits along 200 ft (61 m) of oceanfront in the heart of the Art Deco District. Its style aims to marry the eclectic look of European Bohemia with a down-home American appeal. Guestrooms feature luxurious bed linens and bath products by European fashion designer Etro. Dining and lounge options include Lantao Kitchen + Bar and Lantao Social Club, serving Southeast Asian cuisine.

As with other Kimpton hotels, Surfcomber is pet-friendly, providing four-legged guests with their own services and amenities at no extra cost. For guests traveling alone, Kimpton’s Guppy Love Program allows Surfcomber guests to request a live goldfish — fed and cared for by the hotel staff — to stay overnight in their guestroom.

Surfcomber will also offer all of Kimpton’s favorite guest amenities such as creative mini bars with healthful and organic options, morning coffee and tea service in the living room and hosted evening wine hour daily. Surfcomber has implemented Kimpton’s more than 100 environmentally responsible operational practices under the Kimpton EarthCare program, which aims to reduce waste, energy and water consumption.
