Hilton Hotels & Resorts launched on Tuesday a new dining concept called Herb N’ Kitchen at New York Hilton Midtown, which also offers in-room delivery for hotel guests.
Earlier this summer, the property sparked debate by discontinuing room service (and eliminating 55 jobs).
Herb N’ Kitchen offers fresh, local food in an upscale restaurant and a culinary market. Diners can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner either served on-site, packaged to-go, or delivered to a hotel room.

Hilton says Herb N’ Kitchen plays into the growth of the quick service segment and demand for healthier food.
The New York Hilton Midtown location serves New York City-inspired fare such as Pat LaFrieda burgers with New York Cheddar cheese on cornmeal kaiser rolls, housemade Italian sausage, and cheeses from Murray’s Cheese in Greenwich Village. Local offerings also include Baked in Brooklyn pita chips, Salty Road taffy, Kings County Jerky and Tumbador Chocolate.
The space is divided into five areas. The Arrival zone has a retail display, while the Barista area serves quick coffee drinks, pastries, fruit and yogurt. Oven serves flatbreads and burgers, while the Buffet serves breakfast in the Dining Room. The space includes cooking stations for some meals.

Hilton says the Herb N’ Kitchen restaurant and market concept is an optional model for individual properties in the Hilton Hotels & Resorts portfolio.
