Sometimes, it’s the subtle renovations that are the biggest test of what a design firm can do. Without the ability to create high drama, every detail counts and has to be expertly woven into the existing style DNA of the property. So, when Ilya got the commission to give the guestrooms at the Hilton Guam Resort & Spa a new look, they knew they’d need to create a style that blended in with the tropical chic of the rest of the hotel.
For the guestrooms, that meant steering toward a streamlined look. Warm tones on the walls make the space inviting. White bedding keeps the space airy. Brightly colored floral artwork brings the exotic locale to the forefront.
The refresh, which began in April, also included new cabanas and an outdoor extension to the bar and terrace as well as a new outdoor space, The Lanai.
