Valor Hospitality forms JV with Dubai’s investment arm

Valor Hospitality Partners, an Atlanta-based owner, developer and operator, has entered into a joint venture with the principal investment arm of the Dubai government, Investment Corp. of Dubai (ICD).

In partnership with the hospitality and leisure vertical of ICD, Valor has commenced operational transition of more than 800 rooms across hotels in the Emirate, including the 288-room Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai Deira Creek and three Wyndham Deira hotels (290-room Wyndham Dubai Deira, the 131-key Days by Wyndham Dubai Deira; and the 94-key Super 8 by Wyndham Dubai Deira).

These properties will be added to the portfolio of operating and pipeline properties Valor already has in the region.

“The Middle East, and Dubai in particular, continues to lead when it comes to hospitality and provides a strong proving ground for brands as they enter or evolve their offering for the region,” said Julien Bergue, co-founder and managing partner of Valor Hospitality Partners Middle East. “There are 65,000 rooms under development in Dubai and working with our asset owners and leading brands to supply first-in-class hospitality options for business and leisure travellers, while ensuring a strong business model for both sides, is our ultimate goal.”

Valor also operates the Intercity Hotel Jaddaf Waterfront in Dubai, and elsewhere in the Middle East region, Valor manages the Four Points by Sheraton in Muscat, Oman, and two hotels in Uzbekistan: a Hyatt Regency in the city of Bukhara and the Intercity Hotel in Uzbekistan’s capital, Tashkent.

With more than 85 hotels in its portfolio across the Americas, the U.K., Africa and Middle East, Valor is looking to grow its footprint in the Middle East, CIS and Indian Ocean regions. The company has four pipeline hotels located in the U.K.
