Two former Bohemian hotels have new names

Two hotels formerly carrying the Bohemian name have introduced new identities while remaining part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection. Grand Bohemian Orlando has become Hotel Beauden and Bohemian Savannah Riverfront has become Hotel Orielle.

The Hotel Beauden name draws on Orlando’s designation as “The City Beautiful.” The hotel’s restaurant and bar, previously named The Boheme and Bosendorfer Lounge, has been renamed Libra. The menu, led by executive chef francisco sillero, draws on Hispanic, Floridian and Asian influences and includes smoked crab dip with fried garlic gremolata and crispy wonton; pork belly with soy glaze, pickled carrots and toasted cashew; and seared salmon with local grains, poblano crema and roasted tomatillo chow chow. The hotel’s Sunday Jazz Brunch continues weekly from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with unlimited mimosas, live entertainment and stations, including a cinnamon roll cart, carving station, omelette station and dessert wall.

A new lobby mural titled “The Beautiful Becoming,” created by artist Amy Rader, references Lake Eola, the city’s swans and the hotel’s gold geometric pattern. The rotunda has been updated with new banquette seating, lighting, tea-height tables with stools and drapery. These changes follow an $18 million renovation of all 248 guestrooms and public spaces, completed in 2024. This fall, the hotel plans local programming, including a partnership with the Steinway Society of Central Florida tied to a new Steinway grand piano in the Rotunda.

“Hotel Beauden reflects where Downtown Orlando is today – creative, confident and constantly evolving,” said Benjamin McCarney, general manager of Hotel Beauden. “With this new chapter, our hotel will be even more rooted in the culture and energy of our city with an identity that celebrates this connection in a new way. And while our name is changing, guests, neighbors and partners can expect the same team, the same commitment to service and welcoming experience we have been proud to deliver for 25 years.”

Hotel Orielle’s name takes inspiration from the 1800s three-panel oriel window. The 75-room hotel includes new artwork such as a lobby installation by SCAD alumna Lillian Blades, a painting by Katherine Sandoz and a 33-foot rooftop mural. Rocks on the Roof, the tallest rooftop along River Street, introduces a signature cocktail called The Orielle and nightly placement of brass spyglass binoculars at dusk. Johnny Salaverria has joined as executive chef, overseeing Rocks on the Roof and Coastal 15 Fish House, where new menu items include the Tackle Box and Seafood Board.

“This new identity best reflects the hotel’s personality and the expectations of today’s traveller, while remaining part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection and the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program,” said Ciarán Gardiner, general manager. “Its story has been years in the making, welcoming guests to Savannah’s riverfront and forging visits and moments that have a unique way of calling people back and understanding it differently each time. The best stories aren’t always the loudest; they’re the ones that stay with you, and Hotel Orielle simply invites guests to notice them.”

Hotel Beauden is located near the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, Kia Center, Church Street, City Hall and Lake Eola Park. Hotel Orielle is located along Savannah’s riverfront.
