Trump Hotel Collection, a luxury hotel brand ran by New York real estate mogul Donald Trump’s Trump Organization, is proposing to turn a historic Washington, D.C., building into a 300-room luxury hotel.
The Old Post Office Pavillion dates from the 1890s and is located in downtown Washington. The building is being put up for sale by the General Services Administration, a federal agency, which has been soliciting proposals since March. No additional details on proposals for the building are being released.
Likewise, Trump Organization confirmed the proposal but did not disclose any other information.
“The Old Post Office building is an iconic building in Washington, D.C., and a spectacular opportunity for redevelopment,” Ivanka Trump told The Washington Post on Sunday.
