Not to be outdone by its business rival Expedia, which recently initiated a joint venture with Groupon, online travel agency Travelocity launched Dashing Deals, a flash sales feature on Monday.
Travelocity, a subsidiary of Sabre Holdings Corp., is offering a daily deal feature, which gives a heavily discounted deal at a hotel. The deal is only available for a stay during a limited amount of days. A new sale is available on the Travelocity website each day.
“We have upped the ante in the travel flash sales world. By displaying the actual dates and room availability at the time of purchase, we provide travelers and easy way to find great travel deals,” said Carp Sparks, Travelocity president and CEO.
