The Valorian Los Angeles, a Curio Collection by Hilton, has appointed Michael Robinson as general manager, a hospitality executive with global experience across upper upscale and luxury lifestyle boutique hotels and resorts.
Robinson brings two decades of hospitality leadership experience spanning both major metropolitan and beach resort markets in the U.S. and internationally. He has spent the past 18 years with Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, where he was involved with openings and full renovations across 10 different properties in four countries. Most recently, Robinson served as the pre-opening and opening general manager of Kimpton Hong Kong, following a three-year term as general manager of the Kimpton Everly Hollywood in Los Angeles. His international background also includes serving as the opening general manager for Kimpton’s first two European properties: Kimpton De Witt Amsterdam and Kimpton Vividora Barcelona.
“The Valorian Los Angeles stands as a true pillar of the West Hollywood community, and it is an incredible privilege to lead such an iconic property into its next chapter,” said Robinson. “I look forward to working alongside our talented team to deliver curated guest journeys, foster deep local and community partnerships, and create an authentic, sophisticated experience right here on the Sunset Strip.”
Formerly the Mondrian Los Angeles, The Valorian is located on Sunset Strip and features 236 guestrooms and suites, including luxury suites and specialty spaces such as the Penthouse and Skyview Loft, offering views of the Hollywood Hills, the Sunset Strip and the Los Angeles skyline.
