In celebration of its twentieth anniversary, this summer and fall The Peninsula Beverly Hills is unveiling refurbished designs in all 193 of its rooms, including its 36 suites and 16 garden villas.
Los Angeles-based interior design firm Forchielli Glynn LLC oversaw the project, which aims to update the hotel’s original concept of combining classic furnishings with printed fabrics in a luxurious but relaxed atmosphere.
Offer Nissenbaum, managing director of The Peninsula Beverly Hills, said the new look “reinvigorates the classic elegance, intimate comfort and residential ambiance that has helped our hotel retain a devoted clientele,” adding that more than 70% of the property’s guests are repeat customers.
Still underway is the refurbishment of the hotel’s 16 private villas and four specialty suites, which are scheduled to be complete by the end of this year.

Deluxe Suites feature a large living room area and a dining table for four. The refurbishment aims to reinforce the connection between guestrooms and adjoining tropical gardens on the property while making guests feel at home, according to Helen Glynn, partner, Forchielli Glynn LLC.
Superior Suites promise views of the city or surrounding residential area via a balcony complete with furniture.

In addition to a large living-room area and dining table, California Suites offer hardwood floors. Throughout the refurbished rooms, honey-toned woods with polished brass accents punctuate the soft hues of the walls.
