The LINE DC names new GM

The LINE DC has appointed Sherry Abedi as its new general manager, who brings over a decade of hospitality experience to her new role.

Throughout her career, Abedi has held senior leadership positions at hospitality properties across the U.S., including area general manager of Quirk Hotel Richmond and resort manager of Lansdowne Resort. Her experience in hotel openings and operations also includes roles with The Madison Hotel, Hotel Casa del Mar and Viceroy Palm Springs.

Prior to joining the LINE DC, Abedi served as area general manager for Viceroy Washington DC and Hotel Zena, where she oversaw all facets of both properties, including rooms, food and beverage and the development of new guest programming and amenities. Before that, she served as general manager of Thompson Washington, D.C., where she led the hotel’s opening.

“We are excited to welcome Sherry to the LINE DC team. Her extensive hospitality experience, proven leadership skills, and deep commitment to both guest experience and team culture make her an exceptional fit for this role,” said Megan Foster, managing director, The LINE, The Ned US & Saguaro Hotels. “Her collaborative approach and passion for building meaningful connections within the local community align seamlessly with the LINE DC’s values. We look forward to her leadership and to further strengthening the hotel as a dynamic gathering place in Washington, D.C.”

The 220-room LINE DC is housed in a 170-year-old church in the heart of DC’s renowned Adams Morgan neighborhood.
