The Cape, a Thompson Hotel has announced the appointment of Diego Padula as general manager.
Padula brings extensive expertise in hotel openings, transformations and high-performing operations. Most recently, he served as general manager for the Kimpton Grand Roatán Resort & Spa in Honduras since April 2024, where he led the resort through its post-opening phase.
Padula has built his career in the hospitality luxury and lifestyle sectors over the last two decades, spanning multiple countries and global brands such as W Hotels, Mondrian and Le Meridien.

Prior to his role at the Kimpton Grand Roatán, Padula served in several high-profile leadership positions, including as the opening general manager for Soho House in Mexico City, opening general manager for Mondrian Mexico City Condesa and opening director of operations for W Dubai Mina Seyahi.
Locates in the Cabo San Lucas region of Baja California Sur, Mexico, The Cape, a Thompson Hotel features 159 guestrooms and suites; an infinity pool with swim-up bar and a saltwater pool carved into the landscape; a sixth-story Rooftop lounge; a spa and fitness center with private outdoor cabanas and hydrotherapy circuit; as well as one-, two-, and three-bedroom residences and four, two-story Penthouse Residences with private rooftops and plunge pools.
