The Benjamin revamps sleep amenities

The Benjamin in Midtown Manhattan has revamped and renamed its numerous sleep-related amenities and partnered with sleep expert Rebecca Robbins, who is now the hotel’s Official Sleep Consultant.

The Benjamin’s sleep-focused offerings, now termed Rest & Renew, include:

  • Sleep Team: The hotel’s Sleep Concierge Anya Orlanska will be joined by a Sleep Team. Robbins trained the entire staff on what she calls the “Golden Keys for Sleep” and techniques such as progressive muscle relaxation so that all of the hotel’s shifts are able to arm guests with best practices for a good night’s sleep and get a good night’s sleep themselves.
  • Rest & Renew Pillow Menu: The Benjamin’s pillow menu features 10 choices such as Anti-Snore and Water-Filled and is now arranged by sleeper type (side sleeper, back sleeper, etc.).
  • Power nap amenities: The hotel can provide everything from a signature eye mask and aromatherapy temple treatment to naptime turndown, bottled water and wake-up call.
  • Bedtime Bites by The National: The National Bar & Dining Rooms’ Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian and his culinary team have created low-protein, low-sugar selections recommended 90 minutes before bedtime.
  • Work-Down Call: The reverse of a wake-up call, this serves as a reminder for guests to power down electronics and prepare for bed.
  • Sleep consultations: Robbins is available for one-on-one consultations at The Benjamin, or the hotel’s Sleep Team can arrange full- or half-day sessions for small groups.
