SRINAGAR, INDIA Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces has debuted in India’s Jammu & Kashmir state with the opening of Vivanta by Taj-Dal View, Srinagar.
Taj is managing the 89-key upper-upscale property on behalf of Saifco Hill Crest Hotels Pvt. Ltd., part of a well-known business house in the state. It is the 20th hotel to open under the Vivanta by Taj flag.
“With this opening, we endeavor to pioneer new and unique destinations. While Jammu & Kashmir needs no introduction, we feel that there is great scope to develop tourism and hospitality here,” says Abhijit Mukerji, Taj’s executive director. “This hotel will generate employment and will have a downstream effect in bringing business to Kashmir.
