Believe it or not, March 21 marks National French Bread Day, and Sofitel New York is celebrating the occasion in a number of ways.
The private dining room of the hotel’s brasserie, Gaby, is being transformed into a boulangerie, where for US$1 guests can sample 15 kinds of French bread and pastries. All proceeds from the event will be donated to City Harvest, which helps feed New Yorkers battling hunger.
Also on March 21, Sofitel New York guests will get a cheddar-truffle pretzel upon check-in and a croissant upon checkout. Gaby will serve four types of bread with an olive tapenade during lunch and dinner as well.
