Sky on 57, the restaurant recently opened atop the Marina Bay Sands resort and casino in Singapore, promises dramatic views of the city and ocean along with a sleek setting by Princeton, New Jersey-based Joshua Zinder Architecture + Design and modern Asian cuisine from Chef Justin Quek.
The 300-seat, 13,000-sq-ft (1,208-sq-m) restaurant, bar and lounge feature an open layout and understated materials to highlight the space’s expansive views. Other design elements include uplit floating overhead panels, a large circular ceiling cutout and dramatic modern chandeliers. Flowing fins wrap the kitchen enclosure and open as needed to provide access to a 2,000-bottle wine collection. Glass panels embedded with photographic images separate private dining areas from other tables.
A 3,000-sq-ft (279-sq-m) outdoor terrace wraps around the restaurant and offers another seating area where guests can enjoy city and ocean views.
