SilverNeedle to launch new brand

After acquiring over 60 hotels in Australia and New Zealand earlier this month with the purchase of Constellation Hotels, SilverNeedle Hospitality is set to launch a new brand called Next Hotels and Resorts.

SilverNeedle, based in Singapore, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the private investment firm Nadathur Group, which has offices in Singapore and Bangalore, India. The company says it is looking to expand across Asia with the Next brand, targeting mid to upper-scale properties. Next Hotel branded hotels will be 150 to 200 rooms and geared toward business travelers while Next Resorts will be family-oriented leisure destinations.

“With our vision to be a leader in Asian Hospitality and to be a company with substantial scale, we have kick started our business with the acquisition of Constellation Hotels. This acquisition gives us a great platform to launch our own new brand, Next Hotels and Resorts,” said Bill Black, president of SilverNeedle.
