Shangri-La Group today announced the debut of its JEN by Shangri-La brand in Hangzhou with the soft opening of JEN Hangzhou by Shangri-La. The hotel is the group’s 10th JEN property globally.
Located in Gongshu District on the former site of the historic Hangzhou Oxygen Plant, JEN Hangzhou sits within Hangzhou Kerry Plaza. The hotel’s design preserves the site’s industrial character through industrial-style brick walls complemented by floor-to-ceiling glass. Artworks throughout the hotel draw inspiration from Hangzhou’s urban culture and the legacy of the Grand Canal. The property is near cultural landmarks, including the Grand Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Qiaoxi Historic District, and is connected to major transport hubs.

JEN Hangzhou features 176 guestrooms and suites with floor-to-ceiling windows framing views of the urban skyline or greenery. Deluxe Rooms and above feature double bathtubs and all suites include private outdoor terraces.
The hotel’s restaurant, OpenHouse, features contemporary interpretations of Jiangnan classics alongside Western favourites and South-east Asian specialities, along with a Grab & Go breakfast option.
Wellness facilities include a 24-hour fitness centre, an indoor heated swimming pool beneath a glass atrium, a sauna and a spa offering personalised treatments.
The hotel offers more than 330 square meters of event space, including a 240-square-metre ballroom and a 90-square-metre flexible venue, along with an outdoor lawn on the seventh floor.
