Rotana hotel tower to be Jordan’s tallest building

AMMAN A 425-key Rotana hotel development in Amman will become Jordan’s tallest building once it is completed in 2013.

Abu Dhabi-based Emirates Tourism Investment Co. is behind the project to build Rotana Hotel Tower in Abdali, a neighborhood in Jordan’s capital city. The 50-story tower will be 188 m (617 ft.) when finished.

The hotel will form part of the Abdali Urban Regeneration Project that aims to modernize the capital’s downtown.

The hotel will mark the debut of Rotana Hotel Management Corp. in Jordan. Abu Dhabi-based Rotana has 39 hotels open in Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwai and Qatar, along with the UAE.
