Rezidor to manage Poland’s Hotel Rezydent

SOPOT, POLAND The Rezidor Hotel Group has assumed management of the 64-key Hotel Rezydent in Sopot, Poland.

The property is under common ownership with the nearby Radisson Blu Hotel, Gdansk, and will keep its former name.

“We are delighted to welcome Hotel Rezydent to our family,” says Rezidor President and CEO Kurt Ritter. “The property, which originally opened in 2001, is in a very good condition. A further renovation will even improve its services and performance.”

Hotel Rezydent offers an all-day-dining restaurant, one meeting room and a small spa. It is located within walking distance of the beach; Sopot is a popular seaside resort destination and features several Art-Nouveau buildings, many of which were built during the pre-war era when Sopot was a fashionable German resort. Today, in addition to beaches, the city includes a lovely boardwalk, numerous museums, and Europe’s longest wooden pier, which stretches 500 m into the Baltic Sea.

Poland is one of Rezidor’s key development markets in Eastern Europe, where both of the company’s core brands, Radisson Blu and Park Inn by Radisson, enjoy an excellent reputation. The group’s portfolio across the country currently comprises eight hotels and 1,594 guestrooms in operation and under development.
