Reynal steps in as Four Seasons president and CEO

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Toronto, Canada, has appointed Alejandro Reynal as its president and CEO effective October 17. Reynal succeeds 20-year veteran of Four Seasons John Davidson, who announced he would retire last year and remains a member of Four Seasons’ board.

“Alejandro joins Four Seasons as we mark the start of a new chapter, building upon our legacy of success and a culture that we have collectively championed over more than 60 years,” said Four Seasons Founder and Chairman Isadore Sharp.

Reynal, 49, has more than 20 years of executive leadership experience in the global travel and hospitality, business services and telecommunications industries. Most recently, he served as president and CEO of Apple Leisure Group, owned by Hyatt Hotels Corp. Between 2011 and 2019, he was the CEO of Atento, a global customer relationship management and business process outsourcing services company. Earlier, he held strategic management positions at Telefonica and The Cocoa-Cola Co.

Cementing its position as one of the topmost luxury brands, Four Seasons recently opened its 50th residential property, announced a bespoke yacht offering and launched the first flight of its new private jet experience. The company has a portfolio of 550 restaurants and bars globally. Four Seasons currently operates 124 hotels and resorts and 50 residential properties across 47 countries, with over 50 projects under planning or development.

In late August, Four Seasons also launched a new brand creative platform, Luxury Is Our Love Language, celebrating the brand’s unique and energetic perspective on the definition of luxury and designed to deliver a full 360 platform for the brand’s creative re-launch. The creative debuts Four Seasons’ new branding which is set to roll out across the entire brand portfolio and lines of businesses.

As a management entity, Four Seasons also works with its global ownership partners on each of its 124 properties.

Cascade Investment L.L.C. is a majority owner of Four Seasons with a 71.25% stake, while an affiliate of Kingdom Holding Company, led by Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, owns 23.75%. Triples Holdings Ltd., a company owned by Sharp, owns 5%.
