Regal Hong Kong hotels tout organic gardens

Regal Hotels International’s Hong Kong properties now boast organic gardens as part of the Hong Kong-based company’s “We Love Our Planet” initiative.

Occupying a total area of 368 sq ft (34 sq m), the gardens are growing organic vegetables and herbs including lemongrass, Thai chili and basil that are then used in the hotels’ F&B outlets.

“Our gardens are run on organic principles, and we are attempting full organic certification,” said John Girard, area general manager (Hong Kong). “Not only is it a great conversation piece for diners, but also eco-conscious and efficient, and helps reduce our carbon footprint.”
