Puma Hotels launches Collection

After taking over 20 hotels in the UK from Barceló Group earlier this month, Puma Hotels has now launched the Puma Hotels’ Collection.

Barceló Group, Palma de Majorca, Spain, earlier this month agreed to pay a £20.25 million (US$32 million) penalty to terminate leases on the predominantly 4-star portfolio signed in 2007. At that time, Puma took over operations of the hotels under its legacy Paramount Hotels brand.

Now, the new Collection will encompass 21 properties with more than 2,800 guestrooms across the UK, including the Imperial hotel in Torquay and the Lygon Arms in Gloucestershire – which it previously managed under the Puma Hotels name prior to the Barceló deal.

As part of the launch, Puma Hotels’ Collection has pledged its commitment to high levels of customer service, together with the continued development and improvement of the 21 properties. Starting on May 1, all properties will offer guests complimentary WiFi access.
