Procacianti Group to manage 8 hotels for Lodgian

PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND TPG Hospitality Inc., a Procaccianti Group company, will manage eight hotels comprising about 2,000 guestrooms on behalf of Lodgian Inc.

The properties include the 270-key Crowne Plaza Melbourne Oceanfront Resort & Spa, Florida, and the 231-key Crowne Plaza Hotel Washington Silver Spring, Maryland. The other hotels fall under the Doubletree, Hilton, Sheraton, Holiday Inn, Radisson and Crowne Plaza brands.

“During our extensive due diligence on management companies, we were consistently impressed with the depth of talent and wealth of resources TPG Hospitality offered us and our hotels,” says Lodgian President and CEO Dana Ciraldo.

Along with managing the hotels, TPG Hospitality will provide owner- and brand-approved multi-million dollar design and construction renovation services for several of the properties.

“Our recent decision to make available to sophisticated owners and institutions our independent management services came only after we felt we had created a rock-solid platform of hospitality services and expertise that would allow us to truly distinguish TPG Hospitality from our competitors,” says Jim Procaccianti, president and CEO of The Procaccianti Group. “The Lodgian engagement and the recent selection by Chesapeake Lodging Trust to entrust TPG Hospitality with their investment in the 430-room Marriott Newton, Massachusetts, is continuing affirmation that TPG Hospitality represents a wise selection when professional execution is a requirement.”

The Procaccianti Group currently owns, operates or manages 64 hotels with approximately 17,000 guestrooms in 23 states. The company ranks 68th in the 2010 edition of HOTELS’ 325, the annual ranking of the world’s largest hotel companies.
