Here is a roundup of people on the move during the week of January 31, 2011:

Elizabeth Bastoni has been appointed executive vice president, human resources, for Carlson. Bastoni joins Carlson from the Coca-Cola Co., where she was head of global compensation and benefits.

Kevin Boudreaux has been appointed opening general manager for the new Hampton Inn and Suites Chattanooga/Downtown. Previously, he was the general manager of the Hilton Garden Inn Roanoke Rapids and the Hilton Garden Inn Savannah.

Karen Englund has been appointed director of sales and marketing, Grande Lakes Orlando. Previously she was director of sales and marketing at L.A. LIVE: The Ritz-Carlton & JW Marriott hotels in Los Angeles.

Philip Goldfarb has been named president and COO of the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. Prior, Goldfarb spent seven years with Turnberry Associates.

The Greenbrier, White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, has announced the appointments and promotion of three key executives. Jeff Kmiec has been promoted to president and managing director, while Terry Miller and Bruce McGinnis have been named chief financial officer and chief operations officer, respectively.

Harman Hall has been promoted to general manager for the Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta NW/Kennesaw Town Center. He was previously operations manager for the hotel.

HEI Hotels & Resorts has named new general managers at four of its properties in Virginia and Pennsylvania. All four were promoted from other HEI hotels. The newly named general managers are: Julie Cashin, Sheraton Crystal City Hotel, Arlington, Virginia; Bob Krol, The Westin Philadelphia; Ryan McCarthy, Embassy Suites Tysons Corner, Vienna, Virginia; and David Fabian, Embassy Suites Philadelphia. 

Hard Rock International has named Brian Klein head of marketing for Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos. Klein was most recently regional director of marketing for Hyatt Hotels Corp.

Ian McPhee has been promoted to hotel manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua, Hawaii. McPhee will continue to lead the food & beverage division – including its six restaurants – in addition to culinary, meetings and special events, spa, retail and rooms now under his guidance.

Brett Miller is the new general manager for the Hyatt Place Nashville Airport. Most recently, he was the general manager for the Hilton Garden Beaufort, South Carolina.

Benchmark Hospitality International has promoted Greg Parsons to senior vice president of operations. Parsons most recently served as regional vice president of operations for Benchmark.

Minor International’s Minor Hotel Group has appointed Tabatha Ramsay vice president of sales. She was most recently area director of sales and marketing for IHG’s Thailand, Indochina and Maldives properties.

Larry Stephenson is the new general manager of the La Quinta Inn & Suites in Smyrna, Tennessee. He was previously with the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville.

KC Resort & Over Water Villas, Koh Samui, Thailand, welcomes new Executive Chef Viwat Tanjinda. Tanjinda was most recently chef and manager at The Mango Restaurant in Finland.

Heinrich von Puschendorf has been named director of operations at Stowe Mountain Lodge, Vermont. His most recent position with Destination Hotels & Resorts was director of operations at Tarrytown House Estate and Conference Center, New York.

Marriott Vacation Club International, the vacation ownership division of Marriott International, has appointed Michael Yonker to chief human resources officer. Yonker most recently served as vice president of human resources for Marriott Vacation Club International.

Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas, has named Diane Yost director of sales and marketing. Previously, she was in the same position at the Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman.
