Here is a roundup of people on the move during the week of February 21, 2011:

Manhattan Hospitality Advisors has appointed Daniel Barr as general manager at Hotel Madeline and the Inn at Lost Creek in Telluride, Colorado. Barr was most recently general manager of Parco Dei Principi Grand Hotel & Spa in Rome.

David Batchelor will move to Peninsula’s Shanghai office as managing director effective March 14. He will oversee the complex that includes The Peninsula Arcade, The Peninsula Residences and 33 Waitanyuan. Batchelor most recently was general manager, operations planning and support, in Peninsula’s Hong Kong corporate office.

Joseph Chong will become the new general manager at The Peninsula Shanghai effective April 1. He previously was hotel manager there.

Enchantment Resort, Sedona, Arizona, has appointed Myra deGersdorff as general manager. Prior, she was the New Orleans-based area general manager for The Ritz-Carlton hotels.

Manhattan Hospitality Advisors has appointed John Egelhoff as director of sales and marketing at Hotel Madeline and the Inn at Lost Creek in Telluride, Colorado. Egelhoff was with the Viceroy Hotel in Snowmass Village, Colorado, where he was director of sales and marketing.

Carlson has named Martin Fabiano general manager at the Park Plaza Bangkok Soi 18. Fabiano has more than five years of hospitality experience in Bangkok as well as broad experience with several global hotel companies in Asia Pacific and other parts of the world.

Prism Hotels and Resorts has named Jeffrey Farina senior vice president of business development. Previously, Farina was vice president of development for Windsor Capital Group, a privately held hotel management and development firm.

Rob Hagelberg has been named general manager at the Four Seasons Hotel Austin in Austin, Texas. Hagelberg was most recently hotel manager at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village, California.

Michel Horn has been promoted to vice president, operations, of Centara Hotels & Resorts in Bangkok. Horn was general manager of Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld.

Robert LaCasse has been named regional director of operations for Interstate Hotels & Resorts in Rochester, Minnesota, and general manager of the Kahler Grand Hotel there. LaCasse most recently served as area managing director of Le Meridien Hotel in San Francisco, part of HEI Hotels and Resorts.

John Nash has been appointed chef de cuisine at Dava restaurant in the AYANA Resort and Spa Bali. Previously, Nash was chef de cuisine in Doha, Qatar, at The Ritz-Carlton’s La Mer French restaurant.

Choice Hotels International has promoted Patrick Pacious to executive vice president, global strategy, distribution and technology. Previously, Pacious was senior vice president, corporate strategy and information technology.

Pasquale Presa is the new executive chef of the Kahler Grand Hotel in Rochester, Minnesota. Presa has 12 years of hotel experience and an additional five years working for independent restaurants.

Harold Rapoza has been appointed to the position of general manager of the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas. Rapoza previously served as general manager of the Hilton Anaheim in Anaheim, California.

Dwight Sanford has been named opening hotel manager at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia, Vancouver. Previously, Sanford served as director of rooms at The Mansion on Peachtree in Atlanta.

Tom Segesta has been named general manager at The Ritz-Carlton Chicago, a Four Seasons Hotel. Segesta most recently spent eight years as general manager at Four Seasons Hotel Austin in Austin, Texas.

Carlson has appointed Marco Seiler general manager at the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Hyderabad Banjara Hills, India. Seiler had been at the Park Plaza Sukhumvit Hotel Bangkok.

Carlson has named Veronique Sirault general manager at the Park Plaza Sukhumvit Hotel Bangkok in Thailand. She has previous management experience in Thailand and a wealth of Asia experience, including in China and India.

Paul Tchen will leave his post as general manager of The Peninsula Shanghai effective March 31. Starting May 1, he will head the operations planning and support division in Peninsula’s Hong Kong corporate office, where he will focus on new initiatives for the group including The Peninsula Paris as well as the company’s merchandising division.

Carlo Vermeeren joins The Roosevelt, New Orleans (a Waldorf Astoria Collection Hotel) on March 7 as director of operations. He has been director of rooms at the Hilton Milwaukee.

Lo Young has been appointed regional vice president, China, at Langham Hotels International in Kowloon, Hong Kong. Young has more than 28 years of hospitality experience, most recently serving as vice president of operations for a Hong Kong-based hotel management group.
