New Hires at TFE Hotels

TFE Hotels has announced key changes to its senior operations team. Among the latest hires are the following: 

Emma Soutter has been named regional general manager for NSW and ACT in Sydney, with responsibility for 22 TFE properties, including TFE’s flagship A by Adina hotels in Sydney and Canberra. 

Brisbane-based Warwick Kahl joins TFE as regional general manager for Queensland, New Zealand, Western Australia, and the Northern Territory, closing out the new operational leadership structure. Warwick has decades of experience managing economy and luxury hotel properties – both domestically and internationally – and has led hotel teams through openings and renovations. 

Tish Nyar has been promoted to senior director of operations of ANZ, with responsibility for 51 properties in the TFE portfolio, in line with recent worldwide leadership restructures.

New Directors

The Driskill has appointed Adreanne Lewis as director of sales, events and marketing. 

In her new position, the hospitality professional will lead The Driskill’s sales and marketing team and the 189 total guest rooms and renovated suites, 18,000 square feet of meeting space, and the famous Driskill Bar and 1886 Cafe & Bakery. Lewis’ responsibilities will include managing the 137-year-old hotel’s sales and meeting spaces for conferences, events and weddings

Lotte Hotel Seattle has appointed Ian Ring as director of sales and marketing. he brings over 20 years of hospitality experience.  

New GM at Nizuc

Cancun’s Nizuc Resort & Spa has Alfonso Martínez general manager. After completing a degree in hotel management from the Universidad Anahuac in Mexico, Martínez transitioned from roles in hotel security, front desk management, reservations and then room’s division management at Camino Real Polanco. In 2005, he was promoted to his first general manager position at Camino Real Perinorte and was shortly promoted to managing director the following year. In 2013, he moved to work with Intercontinental Hotels in Central America as managing director for Intercontinental Tegucigalpa, San Salvador, and Guatemala. Then, in 2019, he was the director for Live Aqua San Miguel de Allende, in the Grupo Posadas portfolio.

Twenty Four Seven Hotels taps new COO

Third-party management company Twenty Four Seven Hotels announced that Amanda Hawkins-Vogel has been promoted to the newly created position of chief operating officer. She has three decades of international hospitality experience across Asia, Australia and the U.S., most recently serving as EVP of operations of Twenty Four Seven Hotels. Previously, she served as SVP of operations with Crescent Hotels & Resorts and VP of operations with Sage Hospitality.
