NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR OF ROSEWOOD’S NEXT LONDON HOTEL
Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has appointed Michael Bonsor as managing director of The Chancery Rosewood, slated to open in 2025 in London’s famous Mayfair neighborhood.
Bonsor has worked with Rosewood Hotels & Resorts for ten years. He began his journey with the brand as hotel manager of Rosewood London and was promoted to managing director in 2017. Before joining Rosewood, Bonsor held multiple positions at London’s renowned Claridge’s hotel. He also worked with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts for ten years across Boston, Toronto and New York, one of his noticeable roles being director of restaurants, where he oversaw the launch of the Michelin-starred L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon in New York City.

Kimpton Hotel Enso, located in the heart of San Francisco’s Japantown, has appointed Darius Shalforoosh as general manager.
Shalforoosh’s tenure with Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants spans 14 years and seven properties, most recently serving as assistant general manager at Kimpton Hotel Eventi in New York City since 2021.
Shalforoosh started his career with Kimpton in 2009 at Nine Zero Hotel in Boston. Some of his previous roles include guest services manager at The Muse Hotel in New York City; assistant director of housekeeping at EPIC, A Kimpton Hotel in Miami; director of housekeeping at Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel in South Beach; assistant general manager at Kimpton Taconic Hotel in Manchester, Vt., and acting restaurant manager for Area31 at EPIC, a luxury boutique Kimpton hotel.
Patricia Franco-Santiago has been appointed general manager of the New York Marriott Downtown. A Marriott veteran with over 20 years of experience, some of Franco-Santiago’s roles include two years as general manager of the Long Island Marriott and eight years at the New York Marriott Marquis in Times Square as director of in-room dining, director of restaurant operations and assistant director of food & beverage.

Viceroy Los Cabos, an oceanfront resort located in the heart of San José del Cabo, Mexico, has announced the appointment of Alex Andrade as managing director.
Andrade brings over two decades of experience to his new role. He began his career in food and beverage, holding leadership roles at Hyatt and Westin properties in multiple cities in the U.S., such as Los Angeles, Vail and Chicago. He then transitioned from food and beverage to hotel operations, serving as general manager at several properties across Latin America, including the Fiesta Americana in Cancun, the Hyatt Cancun Caribe Villas and Resorts and the Sheraton Old San Juan Hotel in Puerto Rico. In his most recent role, Andrade served as the vice president of operations at AM Resorts, where he oversaw a portfolio of 16 resorts from various brands, such as Dreams, Secrets, Hyatt Vivid, Breathless, Now and Zoetry.
AKA has appointed Christopher D. Saputo as managing director of Hotel AKA Alexandria in Alexandria, Va.
Throughout his career, Saputo has held leadership positions in various hotel brands across the U.S., such as Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, Four Seasons Hotels, Waldorf Astoria and Fairmont. Before joining AKA, Saputo was resort manager at Rosewood Miramar Beach Resort.
