HILTON APPOINTS EXEC. VP AND GENERAL COUNSEL
Hilton has named Anne-Marie D’Angelo as executive vice president and general counsel. She most recently served as chief legal and government affairs officer at Molson Coors Beverage Company and has held general counsel and leadership roles at several public companies, including public utility company NiSource and Global Brass and Copper Holdings Inc. D’Angelo now reports to Hilton’s president and CEO Chris Nassetta and serves as a member of the executive committee.
In addition to her leadership roles at Molson Coors, NiSource and Global Brass and Copper Holdings Inc., D’Angelo spent over a decade as a leader on the McDonald’s legal team and brings significant experience in serving global organizations with a franchise model.

RED ROOF’S NEW SENIOR VP OF REVENUE STRATEGY
Red Roof has appointed Robert Goad as senior vice president, revenue strategy, to lead the company’s revenue generation and analytics team. Goad has nearly twenty years of experience in revenue management in the hospitality industry and joins Red Roof from Mint House. Before that, he developed revenue strategies and programs across multiple hospitality brands, including Hilton, IHG, Choice, Wyndham, La Quinta, Best Western and Nationwide Hotel Management.

InterContinental New York Barclay Hotel (known as The Barclay) has appointed Sofia Vandaele as regional director of operations, luxury & lifestyle, NYC. Vandaele will helm the luxury brand’s strategic direction and brand awareness for both InterContinental New York Barclay and InterContinental Times Square.
Before The Barclay, Vandaele served as general manager at Hilton Paris Opera, where she led a $50 million renovation at the 268-room full-service hotel. She has been the general manager of The Barclay since 2018.
A hospitality veteran with over 25 years of experience, Vandaele serves on numerous boards, including the Hotel Association of NYC, Board of Directors & Executive Committee member (2018), New York, Tourism & Conventions, Board of Directors & Executive Committee member (2020) and IHG Americas DE&I Board Member (2019).
AC Hotel Irvine has appointed Yuni Hunter as its new general manager. Hunter brings over 16 years of senior hospitality leadership to the hotel and has overseen several new hotel openings and managed renovations and reactivations during the 2019 COVID-19 pandemic. Previous roles include general manager at Springhill Suites Los Angeles Downey, general manager at Springhill Suites Huntington Beach by Marriott, general manager at Interstate Hotels and general manager at AC Marriott Beverly Hills.
Highgate has appointed Matthew McGuigan as general manager of Romer Waikiki at The Ambassador. Formerly known as The Ambassador Hotel Waikiki, the property is scheduled to open on October 1, 2023.
With over 25 years of experience, McGuigan joins Romer Waikiki from the Ala Moana Hotel by Mantra in downtown Honolulu, where he served as hotel manager for the past five years. Before that, he was hotel manager at the Roosevelt Hotel Seattle, director of rooms at The Hotel 1000 Seattle and director of front office at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel.
OUTRIGGER Resorts & Hotels has named Kiana Beimes as general manager of the OHANA Waikiki East by OUTRIGGER and Ceci Hamao as general manager of the OUTRIGGER Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel.
Earlier this year, Beimes was appointed hotel manager of the OHANA Waikiki East by OUTRIGGER. Before that, she was the area director of front services for the property and the OUTRIGGER Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel. She was also assistant area director for the same hotels and OUTRIGGER Waikiki Beach Resort and front office manager at the Beachcomber.
Hamao has been the resort manager at the OUTRIGGER Reef Waikiki Beach Resort since 2022. Before that, she was area director of front services for OUTRIGGER’s six Waikīkī hotels and began her OUTRIGGER career as front office manager. She came to OUTRIGGER from The MODERN, where she was director of front services.
