People on the move: Graduate Hotels, HEI Hotels & Resorts, Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor

Rudy Sharp has been named complex general manager at Viewline Resort Snowmass, Autograph Collection, and Wildwood Snowmass. Sharp has over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry and oversees all daily operations at Viewline Resort Snowmass and Wildwood Snowmass, which debuted last year after a $40 million renovation that included elevated interiors and exteriors, enhanced culinary offerings and curated guest programming.  

Dan Zwirn has been appointed general manager of Los Angeles’ Marina Del Rey Hotel. Zwirn recently supervised the successful opening of Le Meridien Pasadena Arcadia in 2021 and continued to oversee the property through the end of 2022. Before that, Zwirn established the TRYP Hotel in Pittsburgh, Pa., a premium boutique resort in the Lawrenceville district. He has previously held senior management positions in hotels around the country, including general manager at Le Méridien Philadelphia and opening general manager at Westin Wilmington.  

Joseph Colina is the new general manager of Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor in Cambodia. Colina brings nearly two decades of Accor expertise to his new role in Siem Reap. Colina was most recently General Manager of the MGallery Sapa in northern Vietnam. He formerly served as Hotel Manager at Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi after beginning his career in the United States with roles in Washington, D.C., Chicago, and other cities. Colina takes over at Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor amid other significant changes, such as the inauguration of the Khmer fine-dining restaurant 1932 and the launching of the Raffles Marquee.   

OPERATIONAL ROLES

Andrea Melotti has been appointed executive vice president of operations at Graduate Hotels. Melotti will be responsible for driving operational success and strategic support for Graduate Hotels in the U.S. and UK. 

Melotti was most recently vice president of hotel and casino operations at Hard Rock International, where he spent 18 years contributing to the brand’s exponential development, expansion, and global success. He has also spent several years in management roles at hotels such as InterContinental London Park Lane and InterContinental Carlton Cannes. In 2000, he relocated to Miami Beach to serve as Managing Director of The Sagamore Hotel South Beach and The Raleigh Miami Beach. 

Cindy Murphy has been named regional vice president of operations at HEI Hotels & Resorts, a hospitality investment and management firm. Murphy formerly worked for Sonesta Hotels as vice president of operations and head of the Sonesta Select brand, where she oversaw 224 company-managed hotels. She also served as vice president of franchise performance support for IHG and as vice president of operations and technical services for Trust Hospitality, LLC. Murphy was a senior director of brand management for Marriott International’s Autograph Collection and held leadership roles at Choice Hotels and Hilton Hotel Corp.
