The Hilton Charlotte University Place appointed Ahmed Azizy executive chef of Edgewater Bar & Grille and Fountainview catering. Most recently, he was executive chef of GF Management’s Holiday Inn Charlotte Center City’s restaurant, Caffe Siena.
Andaz Mayakoba Resort Riviera Maya, set to open December 2016 in Riviera Maya, Mexico announced Tulio Baruch has been named director of sales and marketing, Chef Vincent Wallez executive chef, Stephan Karl the resort’s executive assistant manager of food & beverage and Daniel Escalante spa manager.

New Castle Hotels & Resorts has promoted Jeremy Buffam to vice president of capital projects and facilities. A career project manager, Buffam has held positions at Stone & Webster Engineering (currently CB&I), ENSR International (currently AECOM) and Walsh Associates, managing a diverse portfolio of projects in New York City and throughout the Northeast.
South Africa-based The Royal Portfolio appointed Veronica Canha-Hibbert executive chef of The Silo Hotel in Cape Town, which is scheduled to open in March 2017. Canha-Hibbert previously was executive chef at Ellerman House.
Fontainebleau Miami Beach appointed Jenny Cerna as director of leisure sales. She was most recently as regional director of sales at Acqualina Resort & Spa on the Beach in Sunny Isles, Florida.

Benchmark has named Anthony Frank director of food and beverage for The Chattanoogan in Tennessee. He was previously the executive chef/food and beverage director of The Williamsburg Lodge, Williamsburg Woodlands Hotel & Suites, Traditions Restaurant, Sweet Tea & Barley Bar and Grill and all special events in the Colonial Williamsburg historic area in Virginia.
The St. Regis New York appointed Senih Geray general manager. He returns to the hotel after stints at St. Regis properties elsewhere, most recently The St. Regis Atlanta, where he was GM.

The Kitano Hotel New York has appointed Atsushi Koike as director, marketing and business development. Koike joins the team from Dentsu, an advertising agency in Japan.
Valencia Group has named Marcus Latner as general manager of Cavalry Court and The George hotels in College Station, Texas. Latner most recently served as general manager for Lone Star Court at the Domain in Austin, Valencia Group’s first motor court concept hotel.
Roberto Leoci has been named executive chef at Zemi Beach House in Anguilla. He previously opened Pacci Italian Kitchen + Bar with Kimpton Hotels in downtown Savannah, Georgia.
Louis Liu has been appointed general manager of the Hotel Maximilian (managed by Steigenberger) in Beijing.
Residence Inn Breckenridge opens December 2016 under the direction of GM Scott Lypson and Director of Sales and Marketing Pamela Brown. Lypson was previously director of services at Marriott’s Timber Lodge in South Lake Tahoe, California. Brown joins from a five-year stint at Robert Half, an international staffing firm, where she worked her way up from staffing manager to branch manager and national internal recruiter.
Crescent Hotels & Resorts has hired Maureen Mackey as vice president of global sales and will be based in Crescent’s Fairfax, Virginia, office. Prior, Mackey spent 20 years at Hilton Worldwide, most recently serving as executive director of Worldwide Sales.

Martino was most recently the director of sales and marketing for The Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa in Dana Point, California. Cullinane was most recently the associate director of sales for the Hyatt Regency in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Wright’s most recent position was part of the corporate team in Hong Kong as group director of human resources.
