DoubleTree by Hilton Colorado Springs is pleased to announce Ryan Blanchard as the hotel’s new assistant general manager. Blanchard most recently served as general manager at The Antlers, a Wyndham Hotel Colorado Springs.
Florida-based Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort named Mike Block the new director of golf. Prior to his career with Omni Amelia Island, Block was head golf professional at a private club and played competitive golf for two years, joining the Michigan, Midwest and Sunbelt tours.
Maxence Compagnon was appointed general manager for Napa Valley Lodge in Yountville, Caliornia, part of the Woodside hotels collection. Compagnon was previously director of operations for the Fairmont Newport Beach.
Denver-based Halcyon Hotel named Anna Anderson general manager and Candace Duran director of sales and marketing.
California-based Viceroy Santa Monica appointed three positions: Nijad Fares as hotel manager, Jakub Skyvara as director of restaurants and banquets, and Lance Robinson as hotel concierge.
David Flack was named general manager of The Cove resort in the Bahamas. Flack previously served three years as managing director of Little Dix Bay in the British Virgin Islands, where he oversaw resort and restaurant operations.
The Hotel Association of New York City appointed Niki Franzitta vice president of member relations and development. As regional director of labor relations for Hyatt Hotels since 2014, she oversaw all labor relations matters for unionized hotels in Hyatt’s regional portfolio and was lead negotiator at collective bargaining agreements.
Mantra made a number of appointments, including: Alana Friend as operations manager for Mantra on Northbourne, Canberra; Fauve Kapitz as general manager of BreakFree Fortitude Valley; Adrian Lampe as general manager of Mantra Southbank, Melbourne; Troy Fettes as building manager of the new-build FV by Peppers, Brisbane; Gillian Edwards as general manager at BreakFree Grand Pacific; Iain Hardie as regional sales and marketing manager for the Western Australia, South Australia and Northern Territory regions; and Raphael Kozminsky as general manager at BreakFree on Collins.
Ruselle Galante was appointed west coast sales manager for the Hawaii-based Halekulani and Waikiki Parc. Galante most recently served as leisure sales manager for Mauna Lani Bay Hotel & Bungalows.
Spain-based Hotel Sant Francesc appointed Miguel Garcia Feliz general manager. Ilka Karl has also been appointed director of corporate development for Sant Francesc Hotel’s Singular brand.
Hilton named Greg Hartmann senior vice president – luxury, lifestyle, resort and corporate development. Hartmann previously led the strategic advisory and asset management services practice as managing director for the Hotels & Hospitality Group in North America for Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) for the past six years.
Tina Heide will take over as general manager at the Switzerland-based Steigenberger Grandhotel Belvédère. She succeeds Thomas Kleber, who is leaving the company. Heide has been employed at the hotel for over five years and has held several leadership positions, including deputy hotel director.
JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa promoted Ryan Lamkin to executive chef for the 950-room property in Arizona. He will be responsible for overseeing cuisine for banquets, receptions, meetings and themed restaurants.
Matina Lapanaitis was named general manager for The Mayfair Hotel, a Benchmark Resorts & Hotels property in Los Angeles. Lapanaitis was most recently managing director for Mosaic Hotel and Maison 140, both based in Beverly Hills.
Dallas-based Channel Point Hospitality promoted Tony Maness to senior vice president of operations.
Wisconsin’s Graduate Madison named Shanna Pacifico executive chef. She will oversee all food and beverage operations including the hotel’s two restaurants, The Madison Blind and Portage Pi.
Hilton appointed Sumindi Peiris as vice president of global marketing, luxury and lifestyle brands. Prior to joining Hilton, Peiris most recently served as vice president, global director Johnnie Walker Reserve in Singapore.
Florida-based Waramaug Hospitality appointed of Rae Salling as senior vice president asset management. Prior to joining Waramaug, Salling served as vice president of operations with Interstate Hotels & Resorts.
Hyatt Regency Chicago appointed Matt Schalk as hotel manager. Schalk was most recently with Hyatt Hotels Corporation serving as regional vice president of sales and marketing for the west region.
Summit Hotel Properties appointed Jonathan P. Stanner executive vice president and chief investment officer. Most recently Stanner served as chief executive officer of Strategic Hotels & Resorts.
Teneo Hospitality Group named Julie Stovroff vice president of sales, insurance and financial services. Stovroff was previously vice president, group sales insurance and financial services for Preferred Hotels & Resorts.
Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group named Mark Sutton as director of midscale development for the Northeast U.S. Most recently Sutton was vice president of Business Development at Ten-X Commercial.
Oetker Collection named Pascal Valero as executive chef. Previously, Valero has worked within French restaurants like Epicure at Le Bristol Paris, Le Louis XV – Alain Ducasse in Monaco and Taillevent in Paris.
The Resort at Pedregal, a 5-star resort in Los Cabos, appointed two chef de cuisines; Devadip Zahar at Don Manuel’s and Miriam Jimenez Tapia at El Farallon.
