Four Seasons Lanai named Gloria Ah Sam spa director and Kemar Durfield chef de cuisine.

Andrew Arthurs was appointed senior vice president and chief information officer for Destination Hotels and Lowe Enterprises. Most recently, Arthurs was senior director of information technology at Vail Resorts in Broomfield, Colorado.

Grand Hyatt New York appointed Ash Awasthi hotel manager. Most recently, Awasthi was director of rooms at Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles.

First Hospitality Group named Jessica Barrer manager of people services, Paul Hitselberger executive vice president of operations, Mary Pat Knight senior vice president of people services, Kelly Mascar senior vice president of sales and marketing, Daniel Smith senior vice president of asset management and Wendy Stevens executive vice president.

Loews Hotels & Resorts appointed Oliver Bonke chief commercial officer. As the company’s first CCO, Bonke will oversee the strategic growth of Loews’ brands, including Loews Hotels & Resorts, Loews Regency and the OE Collection, in addition to taking ownership of sales, marketing, guest-facing technology and public affairs. Bonke joins Loews from IHG, where he was chief operating office of the Americas.

Kevin Chang was appointed general manager at the Holiday Inn New York JFK Airport Area.

Mario Chang Kin Kee was named director of finance for Hotel Zelos, a Personal Luxury property, in San Francisco. Most recently, he was assistant controller for the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose, California.

Dana Cooper was named director of sales and marketing at the Hotel Jerome, an Auberge Resort, in Aspen, Colorado.

Matt Cowden was named general manager at 21c Museum Hotel Oklahoma City. The hotel is under construction and is set to open this summer.

The Hyatt House Dallas/Frisco appointed Michael Donohue general manager and Michelle White director of sales. The 132-room extended-stay hotel is set to open in February.

Regent Beijing appointed Nicholas Emery general manager. Most recently, Emery was general manager at the Renaissance Hotel Teda in Tianjin, China.

Georg Garnitschnig was appointed director of sales and marketing at Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego. Garnitschnig rejoins Fairmont Hotels & Resorts after a two-year departure during which he founded Hotel Sales Solutions, a sales and marketing company specializing in luxury hotels and resorts.

Chesapeake Hospitality promoted Chris Green from senior vice president of operations to chief operating officer.

Diane Hardy was named director of catering at Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. Most recently, Hardy was catering events manager and wedding specialist at The Sea Pines Resort on Hilton Head Island.

Patricia Johnson was appointed director of sales at the Hotel Grand Union in New York City. Most recently, Johnson was regional director of sales and marketing at Interstate Hotels & Resorts.

Dubai Holding announced that Jumeirah Group’s president and CEO for the past 18 years, Gerald Lawless, is transitioning to a new position responsible for tourism and hospitality in the corporate office, and named Stefan Leser group chief executive of Jumeirah, effective February 1.

Markus Lück was appointed general manager at Seven Pines Resort Ibiza. Most recently, Lück was general manager at Palais Hansen Kempinski Vienna.

Michael O’Donohue was appointed general manager at Pendry San Diego, Pendry Hotels’ first hotel. Most recently, O’Donohue was general manager at the W San Diego.

The Capella Washington, D.C, Georgetown, appointed Tiffany Rioux director of sales and marketing. Previously, Rioux was director of business travel and luxury sales at The St. Regis Washington, D.C., and The St. Regis Atlanta.

Old Edwards Hospitality Group appointed Michael Searles beverage manager.

MGM Resorts International appointed James Stewart CEO of MGM Growth Properties LLC, a real estate trust that the company plans to take public. Previously, Stewart was an executive at Greenhill & Co.

IHG appointed Michael Torres vice president of corporate communications, The America. Previously, Torres was senior director of global communications at PepsiCo.

Michelle Zimny was appointed catering and events manager at Hyatt Carmel Highlands in California. Most recently, Zimny was rooms division director at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge.
