Pendry Hotels & Resorts, the luxury hospitality brand from Montage International, has announced its latest offering — The Elwood Club, a members club inspired by the traditions of luxury hospitality and born into the lineage of Montage and Pendry.
The Elwood Club offers a variety of venues and experiences in music, travel, art, food, drink, fashion, sport and wellness.
The new concept will debut at Pendry Newport Beach in Orange County, Calif. The first flagship Elwood Club, set to open in late summer, will be located within its own exclusive wing of the hotel.
The 295-room hotel, located close to Fashion Island, is a reimagination of the former Fashion Island Hotel and marks the Irvine, Calif.-based Pendry’s third property in Southern California. An affiliate of Eagle Four Partners, LLC acquired the hotel in February 2022. The hotel’s interiors were led by Studio Munge, while WATG and Burton Studio were in charge of architecture and landscape architecture, respectively.

While The Elwood Club will feature high-design spaces and exciting and innovative programming, we are most excited about building community, connecting people, and adding value to our members’ lives.”
The Elwood Club at Pendry Newport Beach will include a private restaurant and bar with a garden terrace, cabaret and bar, a pub with a golf simulator and a screening room. The club will also feature a member boardroom, with a gallery of art connecting each space.
Members will enjoy preferred access and can avail discounts on the full suite of hotel services and amenities, including the property’s swimming pool and sun deck, spa, fitness center, kids club, event gardens and lawns along with restaurants and bars.
Dedicated membership benefits will include a calendar of weekly, monthly and quarterly events, live music, entertainment and wellness programming and activities.
