Park Hyatt Beaver Creek finishes $20M transformation

Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort & Spa has completed a $20-million transformation of its 189 guest rooms, including 23 suites. The updates introduce a residential-inspired design at the only ski-in/ski-out hotel in Beaver Creek Village.

The resort sits at the base of Beaver Creek Mountain. Ski terrain, lifts and ski school are outside the hotel. The renovation builds on earlier updates to the resort’s public spaces.

“For us, luxury in the mountains should feel effortless,” said Edan Ballantine, general manager of Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort & Spa. “This transformation allows us to deliver that experience from the moment a guest enters their room to the moment they step onto the slopes. The new accommodations are sophisticated and residential, but they still feel warm, relaxed and unmistakably Beaver Creek.”

The design draws on modern mountain residences. Materials include cognac leather, plaid wool accents, warm woods and mixed antique brass and bronze finishes. Rooms also have residential-style artwork and custom carpeting inspired by tailored menswear.

Custom minibars feature burled wood cabinetry, natural quartzite countertops, integrated lighting and built-in storage. Bathrooms were refreshed with quartz surfaces, polished chrome fixtures and zellige tile accents.

The project included sustainability-minded updates. Existing closet millwork was refinished and upgraded rather than replaced, and LED lighting was installed throughout the guest rooms.

A ski valet allows guests to leave equipment at the end of the day and have it ready the next morning. The ice rink, restaurants and shops of Beaver Creek Village are steps from the resort. On property, guests can dine at 8100 Mountainside Bar & Grill or visit Exhale Spa, a 30,000-square-foot facility with 23 treatment rooms.
