OUTRIGGER Hospitality Group has opened OUTRIGGER Phi Phi Island Resort on Phi Phi Island, Thailand, adding a fourth property to its Thailand portfolio alongside existing locations in Koh Samui, Khao Lak and Phuket. The 63-suite and villa resort sits within Hat Noppharat Thara-Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park and is accessible only by boat.
The property is set on a white-sand beach fronting the Andaman Sea, surrounded by limestone cliffs. Three primary accommodation categories are offered: the Hilltop Ocean View Pool Villa with a private infinity pool, the Beachfront Pool Villa positioned directly on the sand and the Family Garden Villa set within tropical gardens. All suites and villas are guided by “Nit Thra,” a Thai concept centered on rest, incorporating handcrafted furnishings, organic textiles and woven motifs drawn from local craft traditions.

“What we’ve created at Phi Phi Island is truly special—a resort that matches one of Thailand’s most breathtaking settings and honors the culture and environment that make it extraordinary,” said Jeff Wagoner, president & CEO of OUTRIGGER Hospitality Group. “This opening is a reflection of OUTRIGGER’s long-term commitment to Thailand and for those who make the journey here, I believe it will be unlike anything they’ve experienced before.”
Dining outlets include Mala Kitchen, which operates under the “Samrub Thai” culinary philosophy emphasizing Southern Thai balance of taste, texture and tradition and the Edgewater Bar & Grill, serving local seafood, curries and cocktails at the water’s edge.
Activities include PADI-certified diving, eco-sensitive boat excursions, long-tail boat rides, Thai cooking classes, non-motorized water sports and bead-making sessions rooted in Urak Lawoi traditions. Zeavola Spa offers treatments grounded in Southern Thai wellness practices. The Coral Kids Club and a teen zone serve family guests.
The resort was constructed using local, organic materials and operates within national park guidelines. Design and welcome rituals reflect the heritage of the Urak Lawoi people, the islands’ indigenous inhabitants, including a handcrafted bead bracelet presented to each arriving guest.
OUTRIGGER Phi Phi Island Resort is listed on GHA DISCOVERY, connecting the property to more than 35 million loyalty members across 1,000 hotels in 100 countries.
