Management company OTH Hotels Resorts has added the Capital Plaza Hotel in Frankfort, Ky., and Four Points by Sheraton Greensboro Airport, N.C., to its portfolio.
OTH will oversee all aspects of operations at both properties, including staffing, revenue management, sales and marketing, food and beverage, guest experience and overall asset performance.
Capital Plaza Hotel is in downtown Frankfort near Kentucky State University, the State Capitol and Buffalo Trace Distillery. The 10-story property was developed in 1983 by former Kentucky Gov. Wallace Wilkinson. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2024 and is known for its New Formalist architecture and its role in the city’s urban development.
In early 2027, the property is slated to complete a renovation and rebranding as The Franklin Hotel. The project will introduce 163 redesigned guestrooms, refreshed public spaces and an all-new restaurant concept. It will blend contemporary design and modern amenities with the property’s architectural heritage and preserve the new formalist elements of its exterior.
“We are incredibly excited to oversee the transformation and introduction of The Franklin Hotel to the Frankfort market,” said Scott McMahon, chief development officer of OTH Hotels Resorts. “With a new identity, thoughtfully redesigned interiors and OTH’s hands-on management approach, we see tremendous opportunity to enhance the guest experience and drive stronger performance for this landmark property.”
Four Points by Sheraton Greensboro Airport is a 112-room, full-service hotel near First Horizon Coliseum, North Carolina A&T State University and area dining, entertainment and attractions. The hotel has contemporary guestrooms, an onsite restaurant and bar, a fitness center, a heated outdoor pool and 1,184 square feet of meeting and event space. The property participates in Marriott Bonvoy, Marriott International’s global travel program, which offers members access to experiences and benefits across its portfolio of hotel brands.
The additions follow recent portfolio growth in New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland and New Jersey, and the company’s entry into the West Coast market with Hotel Clark in downtown Los Angeles.
