Old Town Alexandria’s Hotel Heron announces new appointments

Hotel Heron in Alexandria, Va., has announced the appointments of Peter Triolo as general manager and Matt Talley as director of lifestyle.

As general manager, Triolo brings more than two decades of hospitality and food & beverage leadership experience. After graduating from the California Culinary Academy, he joined Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, where he held multiple F&B-focused leadership roles across major markets, including London, Hawaii, San Francisco and Miami. He subsequently joined LodgeWorks Partners, playing an integral role in the opening of Archer Hotel Napa in California before moving to Archer Hotel Tysons in Washington, D.C. Throughout his tenure, he advanced through several leadership positions, including director of food & beverage, director of operations, general manager and corporate director of food & beverage.

As director of lifestyle, Talley brings more than 15 years of experience in brand management, marketing and event activation. His background includes producing events and content for globally recognized brands such as Netflix, Bacardi and Soho House.

Located in the historic Old Town neighborhood in Alexandria, the 134-room Hotel Heron is operated by Aparium For, Aparium Hotel Group’s third-party management platform for lifestyle hotels. The hotel boasts three different dining venues: KILN, a signature ground-floor restaurant serving Mid-Atlantic cuisine; Francis Hall, a cocktail bar; and Good Fortune, an open-air seasonal rooftop bar.
