Le Méridien Columbus, The Joseph in Columbus, Ohio, is demonstrating its strong commitment to local art throughout the hotel and even has a new way for guests to purchase pieces on display.
Owned by The Pizzuti Cos. and operated by Wischermann Partners, Le Méridien Columbus, The Joseph features original artwork from Ron and Ann Pizzuti’s personal collection and the Joseph Editions Ohio Portfolio, a series of master printed originals created by 15 artists with an Ohio connection.

Ron Pizzuti promised to feature Ohio artists in each guestroom by selecting 15 local artists that created 31 works of art for the hotel. The Pizzuti family sent the selected artists to Brooklyn, New York, to work directly with master printmakers to create limited-edition screen and archival pigment prints. This collection is featured on the hotel’s second floor in the event space corridor as well as in each guestroom and suite.
Pieces from the Joseph Editions Ohio Portfolio are now also available for purchase online.
Artworks by the following artists are currently available: Laura Bidwa, Steven Bindernagel, Mary Jo Bole, April Deacon, Sarah Fairchild, Linda Gall, Denny Griffith, Daina Higgins, Dion Johnson, Kurt Lightner, Kirk Mangus, Tony Mendoza, Dana Oldfather, Laura Sanders and David Skeens. Joseph Editions plans to add several new artists each year.

“There’s an appetite for real art by real people,” said Rebecca Ibel, curator for the Pizzuti Collection. “When you walk into Le Méridien Columbus, The Joseph, there’s an energy, brightness and a depth to the art. These are pieces that will make you think and smile if you open yourself up to them.”
