Travelodge may retain 10 hotel leases:  Travelodge Hotels Ltd. may retain leases on up to 10 of its U.K. hotels out of the 49 the company expected to unload as part of its company voluntary agreement.

Aimbridge expands in Wisconsin:  Aimbridge Hospitality announced on Tuesday that it has assumed management of the 353-room Radisson Hotel and Conference Center Green Bay and 79-room Wingate by Wyndham Green Bay Airport. Both hotels are owned by Oneida Airport Hotel Corp.

 


Hilton partners on youth employment white paper:  In conjunction with the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Hilton Worldwide and the International Youth Foundation announced the launch of white paper that highlights solutions to youth joblessness globally.

US RevPAR up 6.8% in 2012:  The U.S. hotel industry’s occupancy increased 2.5% to 61.4%, ADR was up 4.2% to US$106.10 and its RevPAR grew 6.8% to US$65.17 in 2012, according to new data from STR.

 


Daiwik to expand in India:  Daiwik Hotels Pvt announced that it will open Daiwik Hotels Dwarka in Gujarat by 2015. The new-build property will have 120 to 140 guestrooms and cost Rs45 crore (US$8.3 million) to develop.
