Fibra Inn buys hotel in Mexico:  Fibra Inn announced that it bought the 100-room Holiday Inn Express Guadalajara UAG for 186.9 million pesos (US$15.5 million) and plans to add 99 guestrooms to the property.

Ascott enters Saudi Arabia:  The Ascott Limited is set to enter Saudi Arabia after securing a management contract for the 230-unit Ascott Olaya Riyadh, is slated to open near the King Abdullah Financial District in 2015.

 


Starwood adding solar power to 3 hotels:  Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide announced on Friday that it signed an agreement with NRG Energy Inc. to add solar power to three hotels, starting with the Westin St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
