SilverNeedle buys Australia hotel:  SilverNeedle Hospitality bought the 154-room Chifley at Lennons Hotel Brisbane for A$57 million (US$59.6 million) from Abacus Property Group and plans an A$35 million (US$36 million) renovation of the property.

Caesars to rename Las Vegas casino resort:  Caesars Entertainment Corp. announced that it will rebrand Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino as The Quad Resort & Casino. A renovation of the property is already under way.
