Rockbridge builds in Savannah: Rockbridge announced plans to develop a boutique hotel in Savannah, Georgia. The 173-room hotel is scheduled to open in 2015 and will include a restaurant, retail, pool, rooftop bar and meeting space.

Hilton expands in Africa: Hilton Worldwide signed a management agreement with Out of Africa Hospitality to open a Hilton Garden Inn in Windhoek, Namibia. The 180-room hotel is scheduled to open in 2017.

New Caesars CEO: Mark Frissora has been named CEO for Caesars Entertainment. Frissora joins Caesars as designee and will become CEO in July. His appointment is subject to regulatory approval.

Millennium to renovate: Millennium Hotels and Resorts will upgrade to its hotels in Los Angeles, Anchorage, and Buffalo, New York. Millennium Alaska Hotel Anchorage will undergo a US$8.3 million interior and exterior renovation, Millennium Biltmore Los Angeles will undergo a multi-million dollar refurbishment to its guestrooms, suites and ballroom, and Millennium Hotel Buffalo’s 300 guestrooms and suites will undergo renovation in addition to the hotel’s meeting spaces and restaurant.

Kalu launches hotel brand: Orji Kalu, founder of Slok Group and former governor of Abia State in Nigeria, will debut boutique hotel chain Sun Heavens Hotels and Resorts. The target market will include business travelers and tourists.
