Rezidor in Poland: Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group’s Rezidor is opening two properties in Poland: The 166-key Park Inn by Radisson Poznán will open in mid-2017, and the Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Szklarska Poreba will open in late 2018.
U.S. upscale projects: One-third of the U.S. pipeline are upscale chain properties, according to a recent U.S. construction pipeline trend report from Lodging Econometrics – that’s 1,384 projects. Leading brands are Residence Inn with 168 projects, Courtyard with 140 and SpringHill Suites with 124, all Marriott International brands.
Ritz-Carlton at Lake Tahoe: Ritz-Carlton is building the Lake Club, The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe, for use by the resort’s guests. The property, which opens in summer 2017, will have direct beach access and a private pier on the north side of the lake.
Rockbridge in Savannah: Real estate investor Rockbridge is building The Hotel at 412 Williamson in Savannah, Georgia, a seven-story boutique hotel in the town’s historic district. The 173-room hotel, part of Starwood’s Tribute portfolio, is scheduled to open in July 2017.
