Mövenpick expands in Philippines:  Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has signed a deal with Picar Development Inc. to manage a 324-room hotel to be built in Makati City.


Sonesta expands in South Carolina:  Sonesta International Hotels Corp. announced on Thursday that it will open the 118-room Sonesta ES Suites Columbia in 2014.

Sunstone puts 4 hotels for sale:  Sunstone Hotel Investors Inc. is selling the 257-room Hilton San Diego/Del Mar, the 199-room Park City Marriott, the 350-room Detroit Marriott Troy and the 229-room Doubletree Guest Suites Minneapolis.
