Hyatt Place San Jose sold: Ultima Hospitality purchased the 234-room Hyatt Place San Jose.
Alt Hotels expands: Group Germain Hotels announced a transaction valued at more than US$80 million in share capital to be added to the Alt Canada Investment Fund. The transaction is the second of this value in the past three years.
Sheraton Fort Lauderdale to rebrand: Insight Group acquired the 487-room Yankee Clipper Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Beach Hotel. The hotel will be operated in affiliation with B Hotels & Resorts as the B Ocean Resort in Fort Lauderdale.
New management for Atlanta hotel: Expotel Hospitality Services has assumed management of the 395-room Sheraton Atlanta Airport. The hotel will also undergo a US$10 million renovation in 2015.
Fibra Inn acquires Guadalajara hotel: Fibra Inn has acquired the Mexico Plaza Guadalajara Andares Hotel for 183 million pesos (US$13 million). The hotel will be converted to a Wyndham Garden hotel in 2015.
Abraham Lincoln Hotel sold: Dubai-based Al Habtoor Group purchased the President Abraham Lincoln Hotel in Springfield, Illinois. The hotel is expected to continue operating under the DoubleTree by Hilton brand.

Z Capital buys Canyon Ranch: Z Capital Partners was named the successful bidder in the auction for the Carillon Hotel and Spa, currently operated and managed as Canyon Ranch Hotel & Spa, in Miami Beach.
