Hilton reports Q3 results: Hilton Worldwide reported system-wide comparable RevPAR increased 5.8% for the third quarter of 2015 on a currency neutral basis from the same period in 2014. Full-year 2016 RevPAR is expected to increase between 4% and 6% and net unit growth expected to be 45,000 rooms to 50,000 rooms. Net income attributable to Hilton stockholders for the third quarter of 2015 was US$279 million, an increase of US$96 million from the same period in 2014.

Meliá introduces Chinese program: Meliá Hotels International announced its new program PengYou by Meliá, designed to help staff and hotels meet the needs and expectations of Chinese guests traveling to Europe. Key components of the program include an intensive Mandarin language training program for hotel employees, the ability to accept Chinese credit cards from Union Pay, availability of Chinese television programs and channels in-room, special menus and minibar products representative of the region, and in-room materials in Mandarin.

 


IHG signs in St. Petersburg and Warsaw: IHG signed the Holiday Inn St. Petersburg – Proletarskaya in Russia and the Holiday Inn Warsaw – City Centre in Poland. Both hotels are scheduled to open in 2018.

 


Wyndham to debut in Vietnam: Wyndham Hotel Group will open its first property in Vietnam in early 2016. The new-construction Wyndham Legend Halong will include 217 guestrooms, all-day dining, meeting rooms, a pool bar and gym.

Nuo Beijing joins Ultratravel Collection: Nuo Hotel Beijing has joined Ultratravel Collection, a joint venture between Global Hotel Alliance, Travel Leaders Group and multi-media brand Ultratravel. Ultratravel Collection recently added Viceroy New York, Corinthia Hotel London and Palais Namskar in Marrakech.

Carlson Rezidor grows in Saudi Arabia: Carlson Rezidor will open the Park Inn by Radisson Makkah Al Naseem in June 2016. The hotel will feature 463 geustrooms, an all-day restaurant, two meeting rooms and fitness center.

Hyde Hotels to debut in Coachella Valley: Hyde Hotel & Residences will launch in Coachella Valley in early 2017. Hyde Hotel & Residences Coachella Valley will feature 350 guestrooms, comprised of 150 two-bedroom condo units with studio lock-outs, 40 luxury suites – some with private plunge pools, and 10 luxury two-bedroom stand-alone villas, a restaurant , a spa, and meeting and event facilities.

AHIP to renew railway contracts: American Hotel Income Properties REIT will renew 15 railway hotel lodging contracts. The Contract Renewal encompasses 15 Oak Tree Inn hotels located in 13 states covering 1,363 guestrooms.
