News in brief: Dusit Fudu, Crowne Plaza, Hotel Indigo

Dusit Fudu Hotels and Resorts signs management agreements in China: The company announced an agreement with Everfashion Group to manage the 450-room Dusit Thani Castle Fushun, Liaoning, set to open in January 2017; an agreement with Jiangsu Renda International Hotel Co. to manage the 160-room Dusit Thani Dongtai, Jiangsu, scheduled to open in the last quarter of this year; and an agreement to manage the 88-room Dusit Thani Fudu Qingfeng Hotel in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, expected to be rebranded in May.

 


Crowne Plaza to expand in Panama: IHG has signed the new-build, 126-room Crowne Plaza Panama Airport, expected to open in February 2015, which will be the second Crowne Plaza hotel in Panama.

IHG adds Hotel Indigo in London: The new-build, 101-room Hotel Indigo – London Barbican will operate under a franchise agreement with Sanguine and is due to open in 2016. IHG also said the 92-room Holiday Inn Watford Junction is scheduled to open this summer under a franchise agreement with Nine Hospitality Ltd.

 


New CEO for Abu Dhabi National Hotels: Richard Riley has resigned from his position as chief executive officer of Abu Dhabi National Hotels and has been replaced by Ahmed Khoori as acting CEO.
